Do Not Approach the Precipice

Two iguanas guard a sign on the edge of the cliff overlooking a deep fall to the ocean. A sign, in handwritten paint, reads "No acercarse alprecipicio not approach the precipice"

This cliff overlooks the ocean on the rocky, wavy side of the island of Isla Mujeres, Mexico. The fall is high and the waves crash violently. “Do Not Approach the Precipice” depicts two iguanas who ignore the rules on the sign—No acercarse alprecipicio, not approach the precipice. Or, perhaps the iguanas are the guards—there to enforce the rules.
